The place was wonderful. Very peaceful and green with great lake views. Food was excellent and varied. Main contact was via whatsapp (very swift responses), even before the stay. However, the friendly manager also came to see us and check if there was anything we needed. Food needs to be pre-ordered but everything is fresh (many things from their own garden). It was pretty hot but the AC and fan (also outside) were working well. We spent a lot of time reading outside in front of our cabin.

Facing the the Vembanad Lake, the Hotel Cocobay Resort Kumarakom is surrounded by tropical greenery. Accessible only by boat, it features an outdoor pool, a yoga centre, and a restaurant.

The breakfast was good, - fresh cut fruits & juices, toast & eggs, sausages, hash brown, etc. The various traditional Kerala dishes we had for lunch and dinner were very good too. The service staff did a good job, particularly Musa. The property is very well maintained, both inside and out. The traditional tiled roofs look great in the verdant settings. There's a spa and an outdoor swimming pool too for those interested. The property faces the great Vembanad Lake, so a great view is guaranteed at all times, and particularly at sunset. Cormorants, egrets and herons are seen by the lakeside. The access to the property from the car park is by a short boat ride on a village canal which adds to the atmospherics. We enjoyed walking through the neighbouring village and interacting with the friendly villagers.

A nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable bed, good hot shower, located in the centre but on the side road so away from all the traffic. Over great value.

The property has a pool, games room (with snooker, table tennis and table football) and lovely rooms! The manager and other staff were so friendly and helpful which really made the stay! The manager helped us with arrangements for backwater boat and taxis to our next destination. There isn’t loads going on in the location but you are a 10 minute tuktuk from Alleppey where the backwaters and town is. It is also super close to the beach!! There is also a lovely cafe/restaurant on the beach which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel which was so lovely. So even though you’re not in the centre of town I would really recommend the location as it’s nice to chill and be so close to the beach.

Marvel Cruise is located on the backwaters of Alleppey. The Alleppey Beach is 6 km from the property. The accommodation will provide you with air conditioning.

From the moment I stepped on the houseboat till I deboarded, the staff was extremely kind, attentive and very accommodating. The meals were top-notch. I wanted to try toddy and the captain helped me to purchase it from a local vendor. Do not miss canoeing in the backwaters to see tiny hamlets on both sides, giving a glimpse into the everyday lives of the people there. My room was surprisingly comfortable, much higher than I expected. The leisurely cruise gave me time to relax and absorb the calmness of nature. No TV or wifi, which is great for digital detox. It's a must-do in Kerala.

The location is spectacular. The beach is just 50 meters away. The staff, especially Jithin, was super courteous and friendly. He made us very comfortable during our stay there. He made sure he is always available to address our requests. The private pool was amazing! Loved the stay here! The food was super delicious. It was a shocker that it went beyond our expectations.
