The location of Jungle Hut was really special - quiet, near to nature and with fantastic views. Staff were all great and keen to help us enjoy our stay to the full. There were lots of activities on offer, from bird-watching to a trip into the Tiger Reserve. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in one of the luxury tents, which really made us feel like we were on safari! There was a lovely sense of privacy, as the huts and tents were well spread out around the resort. Food was wonderful, lots of variety and high quality - we ate well every day and for every meal. The whole atmosphere felt adventurous, yet safe. We felt we were staying within a local context, as opposed to a faceless international resort.

The personal and courteous service from the polite staff at Willow Hill will always be fondly remembered. Mr. Laxminarayanan, a true hospitality industry professional, met us on arrival and handled our check-in. His presence at the main desk was re-assuring. Willow Hills appears to be a recently built property. Therefore all facilities were new and in working order. Everything worked perfectly, including the internet, telephone, electricity, plumbing, elevators etc. (Ooty has number of 'heritage hotels' with woefully inadequate service facilities which has ruined many a short stays). We drove to Ooty and the hotel provided spacious parking facility for private cars. We were assigned the Cypress Room, which had the view of the mountains and the green valley, that was both pleasing and invigorating. The spacious interiors were tastefully fitted out. The large king size bed had comfortable mattress and pillows. The black-out curtains were greatly appreciated. The hotel included breakfast and dinner along with cost of accommodations. This was a welcome gesture on their part. The quality of dining offered at the 'Bird of Paradise' restaurant with excellent, with high marks for service and quality to their Chef, Mr. Joyce. I found him and his staff to be hardworking and keenly interested in delivering excellent quality to the guests.

We stayed here for several nights. The room was really nice and clean, and had a small balcony with a beautiful view overlooking Ooty. Though they do not have their own laundry service, they arranged for someone to come and pick up our laundry for us. They also arranged a tour to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve for us. The only downside of this place is the lack of eating facilities/included breakfast, however there are several locations close to it for good food.

wonderful place for an amazing price! great atmosphere, met loads of cool solo travelers and enjoyed some pool in the evenings comfy and clean beds helped us organise a day trip by car to Mudumalai National Park which was incredible - please don’t miss this amazing location away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close to a 10 INR bus that will take you to the bus stand

Every thing about it. The Staff were very courteous,Pleasent & helpfull. The Caretaker Mr Satish & other Staff Mr Godwin & Mr Vikram were very good & it gave us very positive vibes. I would definitely suggest this place to my friends when they visit Ooty next time. Good luck.

Good and quiet location, well maintained, well trained and friendly staff, a slight ‚touch of Britishness‘, fireplaces which are still working (!), tasty food in Restaurant - even suitable for sensitive european stomachs - you can even eat the salads there! Special thanks to staff member Shekar who provided a perfect turn down service at evening time. Bringing sweets, lighting fire in fireplace and bringing hot water bed bottels.
