Room was in a great location . The hotel and room were very modern, clean with great facilities. Breakfast was wonderful. Peter at reception was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

The room was big enough and clean (the bathroom as well). There was even an AC unit, which suprised us. Because of the reviews here, we were sceptical about breakfast. The breakfast corner was tiny, so you need to schedule a timeslot at reception in advance. However the food selection was more than enough - there were various drinks (water, juice, tea, milk, coffee), cereals, sweet pastry, croissants, jams, nutella, fruits, youghurts, and also tiny baguettes/criossants with mozzarella or proscuitto. I can imagine that some of these may be missing if you schedule your breakfast for late hours, but between 8 and 9 o'clock, there was really a feast. The hotel is located in the middle between the beach and the historical center of Ancona, which is ideal, since you can walk anywhere in under 10 minutes. (Also, there is amazing restaurant at the ground floor and great cafe/gellateria just across the street.) Within the building, the hotel occupies 3rd floor without an elevator, which was not a problem for us.

The Fortuna is set right opposite Ancona Train Station. Rooms are clean and airy, and equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Reception is open 24-hours a day, and WiFi is free...
