The hotel is in a stunningly beautiful location. Our room had a balcony over-looking the surrounding hills and the swimming pool looks out on them too. The pool is a good size so you can have a proper swim. The hotel is just outside the walls of the pretty mountain village of Montone; the height means there is a nice breeze even during very hot weather. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

This was better than expected. We expected a hostel but it has ensuite rooms and even provides toothpaste and toothbrushes. The place is a bit dated but very clean and has a great rooftop terrace. The proprietor was unable to provide breakfast herself but had made arrangements with a local cafe which opens at 6.00am. Perfect for our early morning start.

The hotel has a restaurant too, so it was ideal and their pizza was very good.. parking not a problem as it is a very small & quiet village.. and it has a bonus cause there is a very well kept playing field with some swings.. so it was perfect for my little offspring..
