Everything was great at Locanda Capolago starting off from its location, to the impeccable state of the rooms, to the superb breakfast and outstanding restaurant and to the most courteous of staff. Starting from the location, it’s great because it’s not in the heavily touristic areas of Bellagio, Meneggio and Varenna which makes it quieter. Being further north we could enjoy the beauty of the lake and the mountains alike. Having a car makes the beautiful towns peppering the lake all within reach so Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna and others were all within reach. The rooms are highly finished and beautifully decorated. They are cleaned every single day. Toiletries are provided and towels are changed every single day. The breakfast was truly outstanding. They not only provide a buffet but they give you a menu to choose your own breakfast which they prepare on the spot. The restaurant is amazing. We are there twice and we were not disappointed. No wonder it was always fully booked for dinner. And the staff were ever so helpful and attended to all of our needs. And a very sweet gesture was seeing us off with a small complimentary bag of biscuits. Little things that go a long way. Everything was top notch.

I simply loved the room we were given at this hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I simply adored the ceiling with its painting and the lights around it. (on top of the bed). I also enjoyed the view when opening the window, especially at night when the opposite side of the lake could be seen full of lights with the mountains behind. The staff at the hotel were all welcoming and polite. Our room was kept clean. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant and both the food and the service were excellent. If I could, I would have definitely stayed for some more nights at this hotel, and if I have the opportunity to visit again in the future, I would certainly go again. This is one of the best hotels I am happy to have been at.

The view from the room was breathtaking! The food at the restaurant (on site) was amazing, and the breakfast was super fresh and tasty even though there was not a huge selection. The staff are amazing, the hotel is just 10/10! We will definitely stay again! And it had parking which is a huge bonus!
