I don't often take the trouble to post reviews, but the staff really deserve a positive review. They managed to pull off the perfect balance between casual and professional, between friendly and courtesy. From the reception desk to the porters. While I'm at it: very comfortable, large bed, spacious room, big bathroom. All very nice.

Hotel Lido La Perla Nera is a charming hotel with the benefit of an indoor swimming pool. Breakfast had a very good selection and the balcony had a nice view. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is ideally situated for the Carciano ferry port and has a fantastic lake side restaurant within a few metres. Rooms were a good size and very clean. I like to have 2 pillows and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Another terminal is in Stresa, about a 20-minute walk along the scenic lakeside promenade (assuming you are visiting primarily for the Borromean Islands). The room is very nice, featuring a balcony with a table and two chairs. It also includes a refrigerator. The bathroom is fully equipped with all necessary toiletries. Breakfast is varied, delicious, and includes freshly prepared coffee of your choice. You can also reserve dinner if you wish. Free parking is available directly in front of the hotel. The staff — from receptionists to bartenders and waiters — are very helpful and friendly.

    The location is exceptional. We had a room with a balcony and a lake view, and it was fantastic. The room was comfortable and clean. We extended our visit to enjoy more of the place and the manager kindly accepted . (Note: No kettle or fridge in the room.) Ceiling fan works well for hot summer days. Delicious fresh pastries were available on the breakfast table from 7-9 AM. The staff and manager were friendly, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. There is free parking in front of the hotel, and the place is dog-friendly.
