The owner and staff are very friendly and patient. The property is beautiful and provided great meals. The owner here is so kind, she walked us to our car when we were leaving and thanked us for coming. I am so happy to have met such wonderful people in Japan. The owner, who is very friendly, as is all staff actually. In the middle of the charming old town of Hita, a relatively unknown gem. Make sure to book dinner, which is served in an adjacent restaurant, which belongs to the hotel. Amazing standard of cooking, Japanese with some international influences. The breakfast, served in the hotel, is Japanese and excellent as well. Our room had a private bath and shower. On top of that, there are two Onsen in the hotel as well, who can be reserved for private use by the hotel guests. Free parking right in front of the hotel.

Ukiha is a happy place to stay. The owner and staff were generous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was an elegance in every aspect. A very traditional Japanese experience for us. The food in our own dining area was excellent.
