Unexpectedly large and grand rooms, recently renovated. Lots of locals come here for a short onsen vacation. This is an onsen hotel, so only socks, bare feet or the provided slippers. Very clean, staff speak basic English and were very welcoming. Sufficiently large menu in the hotel restaurant so you can stay in the hotel and not have to leave for food if needed. Small hot snacks / fried food are sold in small quantities in the lobby.

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Noboribetsu Station in the famous hot spring area, Hotel Izumi boasts spacious hot spring baths and free-use park-golf courses.

It was amazing for me as a foreigner to experience the atmosphere of onsen resort, sleep on futon, walk around in yukata. The room was spacious, everything perfectly clean and staff was helpful. The breakfast was rich with many options what to choose.

Everything is fantastic. They accepted our last minute request to have two additional dinners, and took all four of us up and down the mountain with free shuttle bus even only two of us are staying! They also offered free shuttle whenever we go out to anywhere nearby. Only one word to summarize my experience: fantastic. Will definitely come back.
