We needed to see a doctor while in Takeo and the staff went out of their way to help us make this happen, made phone calls for us and even drove us to the hospital! Allen and other staff were amazing, the location, rooms, onsen and breakfast are first class.

It features natural hot-spring baths and multi-course Japanese meals in an elegant classical setting.

I couldn't find a hotel room for the night, and feel blessed and lucky to have found Kyotoya. It is set in a great area close to the station, Takeo Onsen and not far from all the sights. On entering you will find a beautiful lobby full of antique furniture and a great area to have tea and coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. The traditional tatami room was wonderful, the futon and pillow comfortable, and of course there is the onsen on the second floor to relax and refresh yourself on your travels. I loved the place and would absolutely book again. The staff were helpful and friendly and very patient with my poor level of Japanese. Don't hesitate to stay here if your looking for a much more special experience than your regular hotels within the same price range.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, staff is friendly too. There are vending machine for re-heat food, coin-operated washing machine and dryer, microwave oven and unlimited coffee at the lobby. There is a nice cafe in front of the hotel where we had light breakfast. We had a wonderful stay!

We were greeted immediately with umbrellas and a smiley guest executive when we arrived at the hotel car park. We had a nice welcome drink and they made sure to give us a good introduction of the hotel facilities before we headed to our room. The receptionists were always ready to greet us with our keys when we arrived back at the hotel from touring the area. They have a beautifully maintained onsen (indoor and outdoor) with super silky waters that feel great on the skin. The rooms are quite spacious as well and they provide us these beautifully printed cookies of Arita porcelain designs in the room as well as green tea leaves as part of their service. We appreciated the nice hygiene amenities in the bathroom. The hotel is on a pretty steep hill so it is hidden away fr the Main Street but there are many eateries and tea shops within walking distance. Bonus - they are partnered with another nearby onsen hotel and we could use their onsen facilities for free as guests. We had a great time staying there.
