We stayed in 11 hotels/villas during our stay in Sri Lanka and this was our favourite! Stunning location, right on a wide stretch of sandy beach. A few other restaurants close by or about 15mins by tuk tuk to Unawatuna. Also 5 mins from the train station, took the train to Galle. Amazing pool, kept very clean and the water is clear which is strangely unusual for Sri Lanka so well done to them. Also quite warm. The pool is private to those staying at the villa. There’s only 4 rooms in the villa which is located next to the restaurant where breakfast is served and they do great food all day. Very good breakfast, the usual affair of fruit platter, yoghurt, eggs (we enjoyed Sri Lankan omelette), toast and tea/coffee. Rooms are large, we also had our 4yr old on a separate bed and a baby in a cot, all fitted in the room easily. Shower and toilet are in separate rooms which is good.

the property was amazing. it was very clean. the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was amazing with a great shower & lots of hot water. the aircon unit was really quiet. there was a nice kitchen area with more than enough equipment if you wanted to cook. there was also a lovely balcony to sit out on & watch the world go by. but the best thing about this place is the family. Sahan ensured we had everything we needed. he has a tuktuk & took us to the beach & turtle hatchery. he is so genuine & doesn’t try to rip you off. his mother is the most amazing cook. we had breakfast brought up to our room each morning. it was delicious & plentiful with a choice of Sri Lankan or English breakfast. both were amazing. for a small payment the mother would cook dinner - her chicken curry is amazing. Sahans sister & her dog kept us entertained in the evening. unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Sahan’s father as he had taken some people on a tour of Sri Lanka. there is a lovely place for swimming about 2km away from the residence. we would definitely recommend this place & we will be sure to visit again on our next trip to Sri Lanka

This is the most lovely hotel we have ever been! All personal is so attentive and calm. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is delicious. Location is good, you feel like stay in jungle but actually it is only 5min walk to beach.

We have been staying at this hotel for a week and have already extended our stay by a month. You won't find better service in Sri Lanka. The manager Chandana and all the staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. Any request will be fulfilled as soon as possible. Everything you ask for is available. Breakfast is included in the price, the table is not extensive, but every day the staff comes up with something new. For lunch and dinner you can choose a dish from the menu, the portions are huge for an average price! Every evening fresh fish is prepared for us, we buy it by ourselves at the local market. We pay quite a bit and get a delicious dinner right in the room. The hotel is on a hill which makes the views even better. There are many zones on a very well-groomed territory, a reception with a hammock and a large sofa, a dining area, a garden, a swimming pool, verandas near the room, bar. There are monitor lizards, squirrels, birds, sometimes monkeys appear) The staff also monitors their behavior! It’s not close to the ocean, but the road on a scooter takes 5-7 minutes, we don’t feel it at all. There is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the island. Chandana also provided me with a new, beautiful scooter, at a low price for the island. We don’t feel much insects, everything is as it should be within the island. In addition, cute lizards live near the room doing their work so The room is spacious, very high stylish ceilings, minimalistic renovation. The room has a kettle, a refrigerator that freezes perfectly, TV, air conditioning. There is a laundry service, they will wash your clothes for minimal price. In general, the best place in Sri, very beautiful, I will attach a photo. Big thank you. Chandana and staff for your service ❤️

    Nirmala Villa is amazing place to stay in southern Sri Lanka. Cool location inside the jungle. You can spot parrots, monkeys, koi fishes and mungos there. Two nice pools. Rooms are very clean and cozy. Wonderful place!
