The room was comfortable, clean and we had a lovely bathroom.Our room had a fabulous view of the lake. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and a great place for bird watching. The food is excellent, we ate in the restaurant, having delicious barbecued fish and chicken the first and local deviled dishes the second.They also organized the professional Yala National Park Safari Tours. You will booked the Cottage they are asked you to do the Safari Tours.So easy to booked the safari like this. If you would like to go for a safari in Sri Lanka choose these guys. Good service, good communication. They are really taking care of you on a safari. They know where to find the wished animals.Our guide was very cheerful, energetic, spoke good English, and very informative about the park and animals. He was able to spot small and big animals alike, and a good tracker...We saw 3 leopards, sloth bear elephants and many other wildlife and lot of birds.The safari is truly great and I think it is doesn't matter which part of the day are you choose. My tip is if you would like to go for other excursions ask them because they have a really good connections! They are also great if you need transfer! Highly recommended!

We love the tents! Is actually a very juce experience to add to the safari, to sleep in the national park, you a pretty close to block 1. The staff were amazing, very professional, friendly and nice. The food, we tried the food a la Carte too. They also clean your room and tidy up it every morning.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host is super friendly and helpful. When we arrived the host offered bikes to explore the area. We cycled around the lake, 100% recommended if you visit this place. The host also booked our trip to Yala National Park, for which she gave several options. The room was very clean and has everything you need. The location is very quiet, except for the river! However you do not hear the river from the room, and outside you can enjoy its soothing nature sound! Thank you Mithila!

The beautiful terrace with a view on rice fields. Very nice and helpful owners. They pepper dinner for us, breakfast box which we took on safari and gave us info about the best way/bus connection to next destination. Check out at 13:00 so after the safari we had time to take a shower. They also offered a safari tour to Yala NP but we had already agreed elsewhere.

Wow!!! Where do I even start? Our stay at Happiness Villa was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the loveliest girls who welcomed us with a delicious drink and showed us to our room. The room itself was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with a mosquito net provided. And then we met Sampath and Asanka—two of the kindest, warmest, and most genuine people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They truly made our stay unforgettable. They went out of their way in every possible way: taking us on a fascinating free tour of the village, sharing so much local knowledge, and cooking us the most delicious dinner and breakfast. Their hospitality was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced—they honestly could not do enough for us. We feel so lucky to have met them and cannot wait to return with our families. We had such a nice stay! The staff was soo friendly and carring. They organized our safarie and made the best lush package we could imaging. Also the dinner and the fruitplates were so good! The view from the treehouse and also the lovely animals made our stay perfect.

Great room,very clean and comfortable.Mahanma was a proper gentleman,very attentive and also booked us a Safari to Yala NP. He took us to a local spot where hundreds of fruit bats gathered in a massive tree and at sundown they all start flying around.It was an awesome sight.He also helped us with a Driver/Guide for our onward journey.Special thanks to Sahoni I hope I’ve spelled it correctly.She speaks good English and was there for us whenever we needed.Overall we had a lovely stay at Owin Rose.👌🏻
