The room was comfortable, clean and we had a lovely bathroom.Our room had a fabulous view of the lake. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and a great place for bird watching. The food is excellent, we ate in the restaurant, having delicious barbecued fish and chicken the first and local deviled dishes the second.They also organized the professional Yala National Park Safari Tours. You will booked the Cottage they are asked you to do the Safari Tours.So easy to booked the safari like this. If you would like to go for a safari in Sri Lanka choose these guys. Good service, good communication. They are really taking care of you on a safari. They know where to find the wished animals.Our guide was very cheerful, energetic, spoke good English, and very informative about the park and animals. He was able to spot small and big animals alike, and a good tracker...We saw 3 leopards, sloth bear elephants and many other wildlife and lot of birds.The safari is truly great and I think it is doesn't matter which part of the day are you choose. My tip is if you would like to go for other excursions ask them because they have a really good connections! They are also great if you need transfer! Highly recommended!

The entire team of staff were absolute stars! They messaged us ahead of check in for some final arrangements. Upon arrival, the check-in was quick and the brief was easy to comprehend. We checked in at 3pm and got to do the complementary afternoon bush walk with Malik (and the other kind gentleman I forgot his name). The tent and the surroundings were clean. I loved the sustainability concept. Water is available in a dispenser at reception and the room water bottles are made of glass. Tea and coffee with milk were also free anytime of the day. The playgrounds were nice and big and a couple of kids played cricket freely. They have lockers at the reception to keep your valuables. Again at 9 pm, we went for another complementary bush walk where we saw tarantulas and other nocturnal insects and birds. In the morning, we went for a safari but didn't know that it would extend slightly past the checkout time. The duty manager was kind to us and let us pack our things in no rush. He offered tea and coffee as we waited for our tuktuk which his team ordered. Also..When we checked out, my friend had forgotten her hair clip in the tent and one kind gentleman (one of the housekeeping staff I presume) ran after our tuk tuk to give it to us :) I recommend this place to everyone for an authentic camp experience!!

Everything. The place is amazing inside, very quiet and peaceful. The host is more than a beautiful person, so friendly, caring, and always responsive. I arrived yo another hotel by mistake since they have similar names and she called me to ask when I will be there. I explained to her that I got confused and I was in the wrong place and she had so much understanding about the situation and got worried that something may have happened to me. The hospitality of this place is just unique. The room was exactly as the pictures shown. Spacious, super clean, clean sheets and big bathroom, all new constructed and in perfect condition. There was a balcony with a wonderful view in the forest, coffee, a kettle, and cups to have your coffee im the morning, laundry service, food delivery at your room, and a fridge. There was hot water, very rare in Sri lanka, good water pressure, and place to hand your towels and things on the bathroom. WIFI was good, considering that you are in a Forrest and you can book the safari with them, better do it through your host they know they best guides!! Overall, it'd one of the best places I have stayed world-wide and with better quality and service from most of the 4 and 5* hotels I have been to, with a very reasonable price.

Incredibly loving and accommodating hostess who fulfills all wishes. The accommodation is in a quiet location in the middle of the countryside with a wonderful view of the rice fields (about 1km from the city center). The rooms on the first floor are very clean and spacious; the bed is comfortable! There is also a refrigerator as well as tea, coffee and a kettle. The shared balcony invites you to relax. If you need it, you can get a really delicious Sri Lankan curry (lunch and dinner) as well as a large, fresh breakfast. The hostess Milshani organizes taxis, tuk tuks and safaris for a fair price (the same as in the city). She prepared a breakfast to go in the morning and an additional breakfast during the safari in Yala National Park. I really enjoyed my stay in this wonderful accommodation with the great hostess and would recommend it to everyone!

The staff, owner and son were fantastic and very accommodating. Booked a safari for us and we were lucky to see elephants, other wildlife and a leopard strolling by us for about 15 minutes. The accommodation and swimming pool were also marvellous. The pool is large, clean and warm. Dined in on both evenings and thoroughly enjoying our food. Wished we had booked to stay longer. Wow!!! Where do I even start? Our stay at Happiness Villa was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the loveliest girls who welcomed us with a delicious drink and showed us to our room. The room itself was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with a mosquito net provided. And then we met Sampath and Asanka—two of the kindest, warmest, and most genuine people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They truly made our stay unforgettable. They went out of their way in every possible way: taking us on a fascinating free tour of the village, sharing so much local knowledge, and cooking us the most delicious dinner and breakfast. Their hospitality was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced—they honestly could not do enough for us. We feel so lucky to have met them and cannot wait to return with our families. Mamba Yala was one of the most spectacular and unforgettable stays of my trip. The location, right in the middle of the jungle, is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by wildlife made the experience truly special.
