What a little paradise! The lovely host created a beautiful place to relax and feel at home. Spacious, clean and very well equipped rooms, especially considering the low prices. Also the garden is beautiful and very well taken care of. We stayed there for a week, reading at the pool and enjoying the beach, which is a 1 min walk away. Great breakfast and the restaurant offering italian dishes was a welcome change to all the rice and curry.

The fantastic Madame Mani is the owner and manager of Gurugedare Heritage. She welcomes all guests with open arms and you feel welcome and home immediately. International or domestic breakfast is offered. Lunch and dinner are Sri Lankan dishes with local ingredients. A fairly new homestay that has everything you need and in a great location. It is about 20 min walk away from hirikitiya but 2 mins away from dickwella beach which is even more beautiful. The hosts are also amazing and make a great breakfast every morning. The page says there is no wifi, but this is wrong; there is great wifi!

New modern facility ,very clean with amazing views from balcony and logia. Dinner was very tasty as well.Very kind and helpful stuff, we needed tuk tuk at 5:00 am to railway station and no problem . The pool was perfectly settled to nature . Unfortunately we couldn’t stay longer .
