This location makes it hard to leave it for something else. Amazing place for couples. Everything about this place is awesome. The included breakfast is great as well. Turtle beach is 5min by a scooter that you can rent at the villa.

The property was located just 10 minutes away from the beach and although there were many activities to do within the property we just stayed in and relaxed most of the time as we were the only guests. The accommodation units had been refurbished for the season and the roof of the dining area was being rethatched with Talipot palms whilst we were there. This was a very interesting experience for us and we appreciate the degree of attention required to maintain an eco lodge. We had the most amazing Ayurvedic message, which is the best I’ve had so far! Everything was looking very green as there had been a lot of rain recently. The road to the property was a bit bumpy and muddy due to the recent rain but our tuk handled it fine. It is a very large property and part of it is quite wild, I believe intentionally, as the owners are interested in preserving most of the natural foliage in the property for the benefit of the wildlife. They have also planted many medicinal, fruit and flowering plants and have many plants for butterflies. We saw thousands ! The highlight for us was seeing and feeding the goats they have on the property, this was truly a unique experience for us. The food was delicious, and some of it is organically grown in the property. We had a super relaxing stay at Back of Beyond Wellness retreat in Tangalle Sri Lanka and highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay close to nature. It is not meant for those who like crowds or a lot of activity.

I think this was the most beautiful and peaceful place to stay for me while my hole Sri Lanka journey of three weeks. Very peaceful location, next to a beautiful Beach, very comfortable room in a quiet area and most caring and heart open people like Leo who’s doing an amazing job. Very kind and helpful with everything. Rented a scooter and organised my laundry 🙏🏽Beautiful surroundings with garden and pool and a nice restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka. The location is everything and the staff is so kind and careing. I stayed for two nights to enjoy a birdwatching tour on Kalamitya Bird Sanctuary and when I got back I got an amazing breakfast. Furthermore the swimming pool area is fabulous with excellent sunbeds and service around. The view is stunning. The hotel itself, unusual to most places in Sri Lanka, is very well decorated. That will include some interesting historical pictures hanging on the wall, gorgeous wooden colors and very well designed bathrooms. I would definitely advice this place to anybody visiting this part of Sri Lanka. I read something about stray dogs. If you're not into stray dogs probably you shouldn't visit Sri Lanka at all. They were harmless and cute at least at this place and no more then three

We were met with cold juice as a welcoming and very nice staff. Because of some troubles with our first room, Angelika (the owner) didn't hesitate and gave us a new room which was an upgrade with no fine. The hotel was vert nice and just out to the water and the beach, the only thing was that you needed to walk 5-8 minutes because of rocks in the water. A very lovely stay!

It's gorgeous, I slept in a cabana accompanied by the roar of the ocean, air conditioning, hot water, clean feet when you go up from the beach, the restaurant with table ocean view on the beach, with a kitchen... very good!! hearty and delicious breakfast. The staff adorable, the owners very kind, the lady always with a smile, all very welcoming, even the cat is polite and sweet . At the entrance a bar with an excellent cappuccino. I will definitely be back for longer. Thank you all
