I have stayed at the Argyle of the Park every time I have come to NZ since 2002 under two different owners. Lena and Peter have made a number of very pleasant changes, but have continued the tradition of superb customer service. They are both a delight and are always very helpful and accommodating to get me the room I prefer. Always very clean. The location is perfect for me, near the bus stop for when I don't have a car, near the park, near the train station. Wash machine and drying area outside available. Very willing to let me check in early, especially when I arrive the first day after a 36 hour trip from the US.

Roger is an absolute Gentleman. I had some confusion regarding bill (my mistake) and he patiently explained it to me by writing it down in detail. The rooms are lovely with so many amenities.The location is excellent. Walkable to Hagley Park, restaurants, Punting on the Avon. Would love to stay again.

Host Vivian and her husband were very gracious and helped us in every aspect to make our 7 nites' stay very comfortable. The accommodation is spacious, spotless clean and has everything necessary in making it our Home away from Home. Location is great, with a 1 minute walk to the bus stop, a large supermarket and also.very near a pharmacy, and major shops for food and all sundries . We highly recommend Classique Lodge to everyone!

Chet is a very thoughtful and welcoming host. He greeted us personally and showed us in and around the house, including the garden. With his artistic mind, there are plenty of great stories shared during our stay.
