WOW! What an experience it was. The host (Ms. Florentina) is the best example of hospitality and friendliness. Served us always with a smile. So personable. The food was delicious and plenty. My partner and I spent a few wonderful days at Vila Geany and we absolutely loved it. The room was big, very clean, the beds were really comfy and the tarrase/ balcony had an amazing view of the mountains and the river. The neighbourhood was quite, safe and close to the old town, hiking trails and any other place one would like to visit while in Herculane. Doamna Lili was a great host, very attentive, hospitable and gave us some great advice on where to eat, bathe and trails nearby. We highly recommend this guest house and its lovely owners. Nicely located by the river with lovely views front and back. About 4 mins drive to the main centre (restaurants etc) or an easy 15-minute walk. The apartment was spacious and had basic amenities for cooking and coffee (bring your own). Very clean and owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful four-night stay at the Diana resort. Our room was spacious and clean, and we had everything we needed - including a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains around Herculane. The hotel has two restaurants which are beautiful, but we only had breakfast there so we cannot judge the dinner or lunch menue. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a varied selection. The buffet was always filled up quickly, the staff always cleared the tables quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very friendly. Both pools (inside and outside pools with thermal water) are very nice. The hotel also has a spa area. We loved the sun terraces and the spa and pool area after a long day of hiking and walking. From the pool you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains. The hotel provides bathrobes and towels for the spa/pool.
