It might be the best hostel I have ever stay. The hostel located in a quiet and beautiful area of Portland. The house is a historic building full of story but they really make it very comfortable inside. Lots of public place in the hostel. You can have social chance or stay alone. Staff here absolutely friendly and helpful. The activities are all good. Nothing could be complain here. I would comeback once I visit Portland again.

The overall impression was positive. I have been to dozens of hotels in the USA and this one is one of the best in this price category. The price/performance ratio is perfect. If you need to be close to the airport like I do, this is a great choice. The breakfast is really good quality by American standards.

The hotel room was spacious, luxurious and incredibly clean. The person who cleaned my room and bathroom came often and I had absolutely no complaints. The concierge at the front desk were for the most part really kind, polite and often conversational. They answered most of my queries really quickly and were efficient whenever I needed any help. One of the hotel staff at the front desk was a little brusque, but maybe I caught her on a couple of off days. Otherwise everyone was really friendly. I was comfortable and happy during my stay.

It turned out to be in a really attractive part of town, although when you walked out onto W Burnside and go down hill it looks seedy. However, you're close to the downtown on foot, say 15 minutes and if you cross W Burnside you're in a cool shopping, cafe and residential precinct. Also, walk behind the inn and its close to Washington Park with beautiful homes. It's actually 2 properties, so you arrive at the reception and find you need to move across the street. Once I got the hang of that it was fine. I'm a big man so walking around at night did not worry me, but some expectation management about where a guest will actually be is going to be helpful. It felt safe and the rooms were comfortable.

    The location is perfect as it is easy to get to the city center but the Washington Park is also very close. It is also rather close to the roads leading to the coast. There are no homeless in that area so it feels rather safe. Good restaurants are nearby as well. We were super happy that they have a laundry with great prices. Also free parking is great.

    The location is perfect if you need to go to the airport, and very well connected to MAX lines connected to the city center. The hotel is very well maintained and there is a gym and a pool. The staff is very friendly and there is a shuttle service to the airport. The room was big and comfortable, with a good place to work and a very big bed There is also a coffee machine in the room.

    This hotel was perfect for me in an excellent location close to city centre and the sports stadium was about five minutes walk. On site self parking available. I was in a block on the second floor opposite the reception building with a private entrance and was able to park outside my room. Room was quite nice and had everything I needed including a micro fridge to keep three or four beers cold. In the morning breakfast only consists of cookies and coffee but they were really nice. Enjoyable stay.

    Location is right in the middle of downtown, this hotel (considering its a budget choice) is out of this world, I've never stayed in a better budget hotel, ever. Just everything was great, the building was beautiful also. Staff really friendly, there's so much good stuff to say about this place.

    Good location, in walking distance to city center and many things around. Nice place, accommodating staff. There was live music one night in Hostel café. I stayed at the end of October and it was lively but chill. I imagine it'll get much busier in summer. Great place to stay in Portland on budget.
