Gorgeous room with ensuite, luxurious, huge towels and classy lining, beautiful bathroom, ambient lighting, parking outside the door, host was fantastic, great fella, no English but we got the gist, (when using the shower make sure the fan is on, door shut and window open). Mosquito nets on windows, good storage, fridge in room that was quiet. Barbers opposite speak great English if you need a translator. Quiet place, single storey, brand new, immaculately clean. Fantastic shower after 25000 steps on a hot day. A little trot (20 mins) to the main area but everything is by you. This is accommodation with four rooms. No kettle/coffee but load of local cafes (great coffee located behind the block opposite the police station that did a take away). Perfect for an overnight stay or two in Berat for an absolute bargain. We paid on arrival in Lek but I think euros would have been preferable.

This property is a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. It is an enjoyable walk through town for those who like to walk, or you can take the bus. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. There are also plenty of places to park in front of the hotel. The owners are the most gracious and generous people that we have met on our trip. The breakfast was superb! We had cherry preserves that the wife of the hotel manager prepared herself, along with other traditional Albanian breakfast dishes. In fact, we had so much food, we wondered if we would need lunch. All the food was delicious, the room spectacular and the hosts and cook were so wonderful. I can’t say enough. This was by far the best stay that we had in Albania and will come back to this place every time we visit Berat.

The owner is absolutely charming and made us feel like we were family while staying in her hotel. The location is just a short walk from the city center, along the water via a well-lit and safe road. Breakfast was great as well as the diner we enjoyed at the restaurant.

Very good location, hotel is owned by very hospitable people. We had a nice and cozy room with a nice view and very good breakfast with local products.

Guva Mangalem Hotel Restaurant features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV. The host is an exceptional person. She went beyond her duty and exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the evenings in the terrace. The atmosphere was warm and very welcoming.

This property is immaculate and it is newly opened. Our room was spacious and the shared terrace was huge. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, loved the fig jam. The hosts were attentive and kind. It was in a great part of Gorica, in walking distance of all the major sightseeing spots in town. We would be happy to return any time.

It is very easy to reach the apartment, even by public transport from the main terminal in Berat. The accommodation is located on a corner of the pedestrian street, and the area is flat, making it easy to walk even with heavy luggage. The room is clean, spacious, and the facilities are in excellent condition. It is close to supermarkets and restaurants, and you can easily walk to Mangalem or Gorica as many times as you like. Communication with the host is excellent, and they accept credit cards. Highly recommended!

First of all, Lorena and Luca are great hosts and wonderful people. They were very helpful, kind and welcoming, you truly feel at home. The room is cozy, the whole apartment is super clean, we had everything we needed. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old town. The food was just amazing, 100% home made, asking for a dinner was a great idea, bcs we had one of the best dinners in all Albania and for sure the best Fergese. What we enjoyed as well were converstions with Luca about history, life, everything. Highly recomended!
