We found our way there with help of a local on motorbike passing by. Another guest said Ways worked. Once we were there it was wonderful. Rocky road up but our rental made it fine. Wood stove in room was a bonus.

Excellent owners/hosts at this Hosteria that was an extension of their home. They were very knowledgeable about the area and sites, plus a very nice breakfast was served each morning. Loved staying in Maimara - a truly authentic town, versus the tourist feel of Tilcara.

It offers free WiFi access in public areas and a daily buffet breakfast. Antigua Tilcara received the Traveller Choice 2014 award from Trip Advisor. I had a wonderful stay at Tilcara Hostel/Hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful when it came to planning my excursions, always providing great recommendations and assisting with the organization. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the place was so charming. The buildings and decor are super cute, and everything is kept spotless. It's also quite central, making it easy to explore the area. Everything went smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
