This is a great family hotel in a beautiful valley. It's very close to Hinterstoder with its ski lift that brings you in the mountains for winter and summer activities. When you stay at the hotel, you get a pass with free entrance and discounts to many places. Thus, the ski lift is free as well. The staff is very friendly and an extra bonus point for this place is that they prepare a great meal. We had venison on the first night and it was so good that we took it on the second night again.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, and came with a small fridge and coffee machine, which added a nice touch of convenience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The parking area was large, so finding a spot was never an issue. The breakfast was good, offering a nice variety to start the day. While the location is a few minutes outside the city, it was perfect since I had a car and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommended!

Hotel Restaurant DAS RÖSSL is located in a historical building in the centre of Windischgarsten. It has a traditional restaurant with typical Austrian cuisine, a bar and a wine cellar. We liked the breakfast and the availability of the staff! We also liked the indirect lighting in the room, and we especially liked the restaurant, my wife had an indian curry that was surprisingly amazing! Everything exceeded our expectations, even if we stayed only for one night.
