Opened in 2015, Das Franzl - Bett & Brot is 800 metres from the shore of Lake Wolfgang, where guests can use a lake access with a sunbathing lawn. An absolutely amazing place to stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was just perfect. It felt like such a unique and refreshing experience compared to regular Airbnbs. We especially loved the stunning mountain views from the room too, and our child was over the moon with the llamas and ponies—it really made the trip extra special for her. Breakfast was top notch, full of delicious choices to start the day right. Everything about our stay was memorable, and we will surely visit again. Highly recommend!

Pension Schlömmer is located 4 km from Sankt Gilgen and has a private beach access to Lake Wolfgang, just 200 metres from the house. It offers for guests a balcony in every room. Check-in and check-out went smooth and fast. The room and the house in general were neatly clean without any foreign smells. Bed and pillows were super comfy. We haven't slept that well for long time. Perfect location with 5-10 minutes walk to the public beach on the lake, which provided nice view, comfortable entrance to the water, benches. You can easily access all sightseeings in the region by car. Breakfast was the same every day, but delicious. Open buffet was available provided homemade yoghurts, various fresh fruits and berries, including even raspberry and blueberry, boiled eggs, flakes, dried fruits. In addition you get a plate of cheese and ham. Egg dishes could be cooked upon request. We enjoyed the views from a balcony. You get Wolfgangsee card, which gives you discounts for cable car, boat rides, rodelbahn and so on. Would be happy to come back.

Haus am Wald offers panoramic views over Lake Wolfgang and the Salzkammergut Mountains. Free WiFi and a private lakeside beach, which is 2 km away, are featured. The apartment had absolutely everything that we could've wanted. Extremely well furnished with beautiful crockery, great views. Host very friendly and responsive, accommodating to our requests also. In the summer there are many insects, but one of the windows had an insect screen so we could still enjoy the breeze without getting bitten - this is the kind of attention to detail you can expect from this place! Extremely affordable for such a lovely apartment. Access to bus 150 (direct to Salzburg/ Bad Ischl) from the main road is convenient. As this property is located within Salzburg province, we had the guest mobility ticket for free public transport within Salzburg.

The location was perfect for our purposes as we wanted to do short trips to hike in the area without driving too far, and to go paddleboarding and kayaking on the lake. The property's access to the lake was essential, as we learned the hard way that there are hardly any free public access areas. The apartment was nice and cosy and had everything we needed, also in the kitchen. My initial worries that the camping site nearby might be a source of noise proved wrong, as it was relatively quiet - no loud music or screaming kids 😅, it was all quite civil.

Located right on the shore on Lake Wolfgang, Hotel & Gasthof Fürberg is 3.5 km, approximately a 45-minutes walk, from the centre of St. Gilgen. I liked everything! The location is amazing, secluded and calm but also has everything you need like food at the restaurant or 5 minutes away by car at any supermarket. I would definitely come again. Friends' groups, however, shall watch out for the showering situation 😂 it is more like a romantic getaway 😉 but I still had lots of fun with my friend there. Ah the Seilbahn is 5 minutes away aaand Hallstaat is about an hour, although I don't recommend leaving the heaven of this place and going to the touristic horror of Hallstaat.

Overlooking Lake Wolfgang, Hotel Garni Anzengruber is only 100 metres away from the shore. It offers free internet access, buffet breakfast, balconies in all rooms and a private lido. Absolutely loved this place. Felt like home. :) We loved getting to know the owners and enjoyed a laid-back, nature filled vacation! Breakfast was amazing and the room was beautiful. Would love to return soon.

Surrounded by a beautiful mountain landscape, Gasthof Kleefeld is located above the picturesque town of Strobl on Lake Wolfgang, offering fantastic views of the Weißenbach Valley. Mini zoo/farm. Very clean room with a bed for kids. Spa hall. Breakfast room was so cozy and every room had a table reserved. The hotel is close to hiking paths. You can enjoy stars at night and do astro photography there (complete darkness and beautiful sky).

Breakfast was excellent, fresh, and tasty, a perfect start to the day. Rating: 10/10. We loved the peaceful location, stunning lake view, super clean room, and kind, well-organized hosts. We’ll definitely come back!
