We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

It is family run and everything about the service and communication was fantastic. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Food was good. Great storage area and boot drying room for hikers. Excellent experience.

The food was delicios! We took the half board. It was very clean clean, quiet village, next to the river. The ski resort was very close driving distance. We will come again in the summer, too! Featuring 3-star accommodation, Hotel Edelweiss Kitzbühel is located in Kitzbühel at the foot of Hahnenkamm Mountain and offers ski-to-door access. So impressed with Hotel Edelweiss! Klaus and Veronica together with their niece were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast, very comfortable beds, room with gorgeous views and soft fluffy white bathrobes! All the extras you expect in 5 star hotels.

This property is beautifully done with lovely finishes and wonderful family that owns and operates it! The rooms were so nice and quiet and comfortable with beautiful Mountain views. It is a working farm so there are horses and sheep and dogs; we loved it all. The breakfast was delicious- bacon, eggs, breads, fruit, cheese - all freshly sourced. We had desserts and cappuccino which were nicely presented and the warm chocolate cake was to die for . We hope to visit again and highly recommend to everyone
