Situated on 50 acres, Halls Haven Holiday Units boasts a swimming pool, tennis court and free bike hire. All rooms feature cooking facilities and a private patio. Clean comfortable unit with everything you would expect in terms of facilities. We loved the central lake which was visible from inside the unit with a constant parade of wildlife such as friendly fairywrens, herons eating yabbies, black cockatoos and redrumped parrots. Lots of kangaroos at dusk and the kid loved feeding the farm animals each morning. Kid enjoyed the pool also (there were a lot of bugs in it, but that's inevitable in a healthy ecosystem).

Halls Gap Motel is surrounded by the magnificent Grampians Mountains and is located on the fringe of the valley floor. It offers free on-site parking, free Wi-Fi access and ground-floor units. Fantastic position not obvious until you drive in. Overlooking unspoilt countryside with fabulous views and teaming with wildlife. We saw cockatoos and kangaroos at dusk. The owner lit a fire pit and we sat roasting marshmallows into the evening after watching the sunset. Quiet and peaceful. Would have spent an extra couple of days here to go walking etc if we’d done our homework a bit better ! Clean, simple and comfortable Motel room. Great value for money. Would love to stay again.

Horsham Holiday Park (formally Wimmera Lakes Caravan Park) is a great place to base yourself for exploring the Grampians, Little Desert National Park, Mount Arapiles and all the natural beauty and... The best holiday park I’ve been at for a really long time. The cabin/container was above my expectations.

We get to encounter friendly wild Kangaroos, Cockatoos, and even Emus right on the property, making the experience even more special. A truly wonderful stay!"

Comfort Inn Capital Horsham offers free internet access and has a bistro, bar and cocktail lounge. It is a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Horsham town centre. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent.

We stayed here on a Saturday night because we were doing one of the local ghost tours in town. They were currently in the middle of a renovation when we stayed, but that didn’t bother us. We were in a newly renovated room and it was really good. Nicely done, great bathroom, good amenities and the service was good too. The location is great because it’s a two minute walk from the main street with good local shops and restaurants. I would recommend staying here if you need somewhere in Ararat.
