Just 200 metres from Picnic Bay Beach, Tropical Palms Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with a kitchenette and a private balcony or courtyard. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and a barbecue area set in lovely gardens. This was a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the esplanade that has a few restaurants, a pub, a cafe, a brewery and a gorgeous beach with a jetty to fish off (or just watch the world go by) and a swimming net. Picnic Bay is a quite spot on the island but the busses run frequently and on time to get you anywhere else on the island if you want to explore. The man on reception was so friendly with a no fuss check in and super informative about anything we needed to know. The accommodation is small but absolutely spotless. Paths and gardens were clean and maintained, the pool was sparkling, the outdoor bbq area super clean and spacious and the rooms were just perfect, actually better than the photos. They had everything we needed for our night stay, we would definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time.

Cute, calm hostel. Amazing for relaxing and recharging. Clean and nice-looking. And they have yoga Mon-Fri :) (not free tho)

Lovely decor throughout the house. Great verandah to relax. Lots of space to relax. Rosalind is exceptionally professional, very responsive and accommodating.

Just 700-metres from Nelly Bay Beach, Amaroo On Mandalay, Magnetic Island offers an outdoor pool, 2 tennis courts and a fitness centre. All rooms offer a kitchenette, a flat-screen TV and a patio with garden views. Awesome location, easy 15min walk from the ferry. Bus stop right at the door. Rooms are basic but everything you need. Pool & bar are fantastic.

Located on Magnetic Island, overlooking Alma Bay and Geoffrey Bay, Arcadia Village Motel offers 3 bars, a café and 2 swimming pools. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Guests enjoy free on-site parking. Fantastic motel and great for families/friend groups. We were a group of 8 staying in two family rooms, which was more than enough space. Pleasantly surprised about the ocean view from balcony, and staff were super accommodating. Would definitely recommend!
