At the inn all rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and a balcony with a sea view. The room was decorated with taste and care. All the facilities were new and fresh and felt especially clean. Special attention was paid to using materials that are easily washable and cannot hide lack of cleanliness. My room right on the water was dreamy, with the sound of the waves lapping the shore in the morning. It was raining my entire stay, so I was glad to at least have been able to be so close to the water and see some natural beauty. The meal at the auberge restaurant was also a delight. Lots of fresh locally sourced ingredients, and cooked to perfection. I savored every bite. Props to the chef. This place was a surprise gem. I really thought I'd be staying in the usual 3-star Quebecois auberge, but this was next level and yet the price is so reasonable.

Fishing, hiking and walking tours are possible within the area, and the chalet offers a ski pass sales point. It was beautiful and peaceful. They've built their own little eden here, with walkways and two mini ponds. The cottage was very well equipped with practical modern furnishings, both indoors and out. We loved the outdoor fireplace, and there was lots of well-seasoned chopped wood. The sauna was lovely. The walk to the seaway was pleasant, but long for us, as we are an older couple.
