Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. We had such a wonderful stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was spotless and well-organised. We loved the coffee machine, the fan, and the radio, not to mention the fantastic shower. They even welcomed us with complimentary drinks! We wouldn't think twice about staying here again. The location is perfect—just a quick 10-minute walk from bus 50 from the airport, or you can take bus 30 from the station, which is really close to the bus stop. Plus, there's a lovely garden where you can relax after a day of exploring. I highly recommend buying a dry bag to join the locals swimming along the Rhine and soaking up the summer sun. It's such a fun way to enjoy the area!

Family-run for over 160 years, the Hotel Kreuz is a traditional country inn in a quiet location in the Canton of Solothurn, 30 minutes away from Basle. My recent stay at this place was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel's location is truly idyllic, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Every request was met with a smile and prompt, efficient service. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a comfortable layout that made it feel truly inviting. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, adding to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a diverse selection of delicious options to suit every palate. The Hotel Stalden offers you rooms with a balcony, free internet access and a satellite TV (200 channels) in a quiet residential area of Berikon. The restaurant and the reception are closed on Sunday.... We arrived very early, but we were able to check into our room, and meet family to enjoy the rest of the day. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast, with local oat speciality which we enjoyed. Underground secure car park with easy access into the hotel. Excellent value for Switzerland.

Situated within a 15-minute walk from Basel's centre, Apartments Spalenring 10 offers free on-site parking. Everything. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to beautiful Basel. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The flat is a 2 minute walk to a fantastic cheese shop (please visit) and the COOP and Migros. It's super close to the tram stop. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub sold me after a long day of walking, I could soak my sore feet! The host was so nice to bring a wine opener for us. Overall, what a fabulous find.
