Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The location was perfect (walking distance to the Christmas markets) and the staff were exceptional.

Situated within a 15-minute walk from Basel's centre, Apartments Spalenring 10 offers free on-site parking. Everything. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to beautiful Basel. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The flat is a 2 minute walk to a fantastic cheese shop (please visit) and the COOP and Migros. It's super close to the tram stop. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub sold me after a long day of walking, I could soak my sore feet! The host was so nice to bring a wine opener for us. Overall, what a fabulous find.

Ibis Styles Basel City is located in Basel, within easy walking distance from Basel SBB train station. The St. Jakob-Park stadium and the Messe Basel can be easily reached by tram. Location, hotel was very clean, good breakfast, staff was very very friendly and helpful, they always smile

Motel One Basel is located in Basel, 100 metres from the Architectural Museum. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and benefit from free WiFi access. Great location,easy walk from train station,quiet at night, very friendly staff

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Great location. Easy to get to the city centre but quiet. Amazing helpful staff that was capable to help in a situation where we needed help.

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station. I liked everything about this hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of thing to choose from. The room was spacious and clean. At night there was no noise from the outside. The curtains did the job - the room was completely dark at night. The staff was extra nice and accomodating. The hotel is close to the tram line that takes you right to the main train station and the centre of the old town.
