Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The staff were brilliant - even helping me mend a pair broken glasses, and the breakfast was a joy.

Situated within a 15-minute walk from Basel's centre, Apartments Spalenring 10 offers free on-site parking. Everything. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to beautiful Basel. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The flat is a 2 minute walk to a fantastic cheese shop (please visit) and the COOP and Migros. It's super close to the tram stop. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub sold me after a long day of walking, I could soak my sore feet! The host was so nice to bring a wine opener for us. Overall, what a fabulous find.

Ibis Styles Basel City is located in Basel, within easy walking distance from Basel SBB train station. The St. Jakob-Park stadium and the Messe Basel can be easily reached by tram. Modern atmosphere, easy parking, fast desk service, great location for my needs

Motel One Basel is located in Basel, 100 metres from the Architectural Museum. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and benefit from free WiFi access. The hotel was in a very good location, near to all the attractions. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Overall a nice, quiet and wonderful stay.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Located in the center of Basel, with very clean and modern rooms, a nice staf, an underground garage and a rich breakfast is the best location to spend few days in Basel if you want a real value of money. If I will return in Basel I will definitely choose Alexander hotel again.

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station. Great location, easy transportation nearby and a free transportation card!

Centrally located in Basel, just 300 metres from the Fair and a 10-minute walk from the banks of the Rhine and the Old Town, Adagio Basel City offers free WiFi and wired internet access. Couldn't be a more friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely worth the price (to those who might think it too expensive)

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. Lovely hotel close to the center and to the train station. Clean, tidy, spacious rooms :) Breakfast was very good and even allowed me to enter before the opening hours. Would highly recommend
