Marco is a great host, kind to everyone, open for chats (which we love) and very attentive. We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast was perfect, every single day. He makes good coffee, there were different cheeses to choose from every day, and fresh fruit, among others. We were also very happy with the beds, after almost a week in Interlaken with super soft beds, we were happy with these nice, sturdy matrasses. Marco also organizes dinners. We were able to enjoy one of them and we were very satisfied. We will come again, when we're back in Ticino! With the Ticino ticket that you get upon arrival, you can use all means of public transport in Ticino free of charge. That's a huge bonus. Bellinzona is only 20 minutes by bus and from there you can take great walks, either high up in the mountains (using a cable car to get there), or lower, there's ample choice.

Completely renovated in 2017, the modern Hotel Bellinzona Sud is located in Monte Carasso, right off the A2 highway. Free parking and a charging station for electric cars are located right outside the hotel. Everything was really great. The hotel is absolutely worth it. Best reception team i've ever seen in a hotel by far.

We stayed in the apartment only for a night on the way from Italy to Germany, as the hotel is located five minutes from the motorway, but we really regretted that we did not have a reason to stay there longer. It is very convenient (the kitchen is equipped with everything you could wish for; there is a laundry room; and there are even rooms for coffee and snacks), the apartment and all the common areas are clean, the hotel has a swimming pool, and a large supermarket is nearby. The most convenient thing is that you can check in at any time: you receive all the access codes by mail (a little tip - connect to the local Wi-Fi right at the entrance to the hotel, and then access inside will be like magic).
