The room was very comfortable and clean with stunning mountain views. Given our travel schedule we could only stayed two nights, I could have stayed longer. The food was exceptional and we appreciated the hospitality of the couple who could not have been better hosts.

Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming. Dinner was delicious, everything was homemade and homegrown or very local (rocket from the garden, fish from the lake, wine from the neighbouring vineyard). Marco’s mixed pasta was exceptional. We had a super evening, nicely finished in front of the fire with grappa and music on the juke box. Super breakfast too… loved the walnut bread and so many delicious delicacies. We will definitely be returning, this is a very special place and worth a detour.

Re-opened in September 2010, Hotel Internazionale Bellinzona offers free access to a spacious spa area, as well as modern, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi in the centre of Bellinzona. The location is great, it has a nice view and it’s close to the station. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

The Motel Gottardo Sud can be found 7 minutes from the A2 / E35 highway, south of the Gotthard tunnel. It offers quiet rooms, tasty food, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Very nice hotel, good breakfast, kind and welcoming staff-offered us a discount voucher to the funicular goes up to lago Ritom. Very recommended.

Completely renovated in 2017, the modern Hotel Bellinzona Sud is located in Monte Carasso, right off the A2 highway. clean, well organized, nice people, close to "Marche" for breakfast and some late dinner, nice to take a walk just next to the hotel and Marche in the green and you do not hear the autostrada. Clealy my favorite stop from Holland to Italy
