The apartment is located about 20 minutes walk from Lugano railway station, in a block of flats staying among Swiss locals. The apartment owner is a super-friendly and helpful person, at first we couldn't find the building entrance but they called to us from the flat balcony as we wandered the street! There was a coffee machine with plenty of pod refills and some sweet snacks to enjoy. With a balcony overlooking Mont Brè, you also got the chance to dry damp clothes. Lugano is a lovely medium sized city with beautiful buildings and a superb aspect overlooking the lake. If you want to go somewhere cooler a walk up nearby Mont Brè is also well worth the effort to find shade and cool breezes, with sensational views over the lake at the end, well-maintained paths with many drinking water fountains on the route. You can use the funicular railway to ascend or try the #12 bus. There is a nearby Migros supermarket with a convenient café at ground floor level and a basement grocery. Our first visit to Ticino, we liked it a lot.

The view is absolutely amazing, the apartment was clean and quiet, had everything we needed. The lady that greeted us was very nice and helpful, always quick to respond, gave us tips for attraction spots. Tha price was good fir what the place offered. We got our deposit back without any problems. Would strongly reccommend this accomodation.

The Ibis Lugano-Paradiso is just 200 metres from Lake Lugano and 1.5 km from the centre of Lugano. It offers a 24-hour snack bar and free Wi-Fi. Room and location were excellent. Food was good.

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Clean room with a lovely view. Relaxing pool area with a wonderful garden attached. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast. Overall a great atmosphere in the hotel in a very good and accesible location.
