It had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was clean and had all the necessities. The living room was very comfortable with a large screen TV and sound system. The apartment was located opposite the bus stop and a 3 minute walk away from a small local grocery shop. And the host was easily reachable and responsive.

What stood out the most was how thoughtful and knowledgeable she was, constantly offering the best suggestions — whether it was hidden gems to explore, local restaurants to try, or tips for making the most of our time in the area. Thanks to her advice, we discovered places we never would have found on our own. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely kind and helpful. If you’re looking for a stay that combines comfort with heartfelt hospitality, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

The charming chalet-style Fassbind hotel is quietly situated in Beatenberg high above Lake Thun facing the imposing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. Dani and Linda were absolutely fantastic hosts! They truly made my experience so memorable. The breakfast was great and the views were even greater! This kind of hospitality is so rare nowadays, I highly recommend this accommodation!
