Centrally located in Stein am Rhein, Hotel Rheinfels is housed in a historic building from the 14th century and features a restaurant with a large terrace facing the river. Lovely old building right on the river, great parking for our bikes, air conditioning was a bonus, bed was comfy. Hotel is a mix of old and new, bathroom was modern and worked beautifully. Very nice location

Unfortunately I arrived late and had to get up early thus I could not enjoy much the atmosphere of the hotel; the staff was very kind and helpful anyway,

Friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet with many homemade bread and jams, fresh eggs, good coffee. Good bicycle storage, excellent dedicated bike path between Stein am Rhein and Ramsen. Lovely, relaxing village.
