Ellie was very helpful to call taxi even when I was at the airport, or guiding to restaurants, or even ordering menu for the first night. I enjoyed staying there (Xitouxia), away from noisy urban area.

The cultural house, its actually 3 houses combines. Very nice architure. The area is good for walks, very little shops available. I got a car to adventure. This is definitely stay like a local which is the best.

The island of Gulangyu is a fantastic place to stay, and this hotel was well located on the island. The hotel had a fantastic boutqiue feel, with very accommodating and friendly staff, clean and well designed rooms, good AC, local cuisine for breakfast, and a lovely boutique art shop in the hotel as well. We travelled with friends and family (including a small child) and everyone enjoyed their stay. Additionally, there is plenty close to the hotel including restaurants, convenience stores and other shops.
