This is a great place: nice room, good breakfast, nice terrasse, good location (near the beach) and Angie at the reception was always very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there, in particular my long walks on the beach. Most important, I enjoyed to be in the middle of real caribian/colombien life.....and I am super relaxed now after my stay.

Featuring a restaurant, Finca Escondida is located in Palomino and offers its guests surfing lessons, rental of surf equipment, plus WiFi access is available in public areas for an additional fee. The hotel is a beachfront property and away from any disturbing noises (cars, motorcycles, parties (loud music). The staff was great, helpful and cordial. The restaurant had good selection of lunch/dinner options, and breakfast was good, but would be excellent if they offered the traditional "arepa de huevo" and other options, but it was good. If you like surfing, there were good waves, as well as calmer waters up and down the beach, which is pretty long. You can take a nice walk on the beach to the "desembocadura" (River mouth) and see where the river pours out to the sea. There are very good restaurants in Palomino that offer a wide variety of Colombian and International dishes as well as an excellent café (Alheli Coffee Shop & School) in the park sector. Remember to take bug repellent and sunblock, you’ll need it and HAVE LOTS OF FUN. I’ll definitely return to Finca Escondida Hotel.

Hotel Playa Mandala boasts rustic-style bungalows situated on a private stretch of beach in Palomino. It has an on-site restaurant and a tour desk that offers special discounts for guests. Very quiet and secluded, host Francisco was very helpful and the staff served very delicious food. A1+
