The outdoor garden area and bathroom was lovely and its was great to meet with a small number of other travellers for conversations and tips of where to go and what to do in and around Barichara. It really felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend.

A truck drivers’ strike had been announced for the second night we were supposed to stay at the place, and since we had a flight coming up for which we had to be back in Bucaramanga, we decided to leave Barichara a day early. They understood our situation and did not charge us for the second night. Also, we have learned that warm showers are not a norm in Colombia, so it was nice to be to take one there! :)
