All units are equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine, a shower, free toiletries and a wardrobe. At the hotel every room comes with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and a patio with pool view. Generally quiet, even next to the highway. We were greeted by the owner's two teenage sons. Clearly managers in training. The kitchen beside the pool was well equipped for our breakfast of cold cereal. There is a hot plate and BBQ which we did not try out. Both beds were pushed against the walls. We were able to move the double bed away from the wall and use the side chair so both sides of the bed could have a bedside table of sorts. Towels are thick, soft.and absorbant. Shower is slow to heat but then warm.

Set in Playa Sámara, 35 km from Nicoya, Villas Verdes boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. The property has 5 spaces inside that depend on who comes first, first come first served. Only 1 car per villa. In addition, we have 5 spaces available for parking outside the hotel. What an exceptional pleasant surprise! From checking in till checking out. Our villas/units were fantastic. Serviced every day by the most friendly housekeeping staff and the villas are very well equipped. Front of house staff - Aáron, was super helpful and professional. Swimming pools and gardens look and feel like paradise. It is safe and very close to the beach. I can absolutely recommend Villa Verdes. Will definitely visit Sámara and this establishment again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Tamarindo Sunshine is situated in Tamarindo. Among the facilities at this property are room service and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is located 300 metres from Tamarindo Beach. Beautiful apartments located within a small garden, outside of the busy area, but within 10min of waking distance. Easily the most comfortable apartment we've had in Costa Rica. Excellent communication with our hosts, we received a detailed document with recommendations and instructions upfront and someone was always available at the office for questions or just a friendly chat. Beach equipment was available free of charge. Amazing, highly recommend staying here. PS: to escape the crowds, check out Playa Langosta!

Located a mere 50 metres from Guiones’s main break, in Nosara, Costa Rica, The Sunset Shack features a year-round outdoor pool and guests can also enjoy the on-site restaurant.

Certain rooms include views of the pool or garden while all rooms come with a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower. Breakfast is include on the room rate. The Sunset Shack also features free WiFi throughout the property. Sunset Shack was in a great location, close to the beach, short walk to the shops and more restaurants. The room was spacious, comfy beds and amazing shower. The hotel/bungalows are quiet and the Al Chile restaurant joined to the hotel is great. We were able to order and eat by the pool.

With garden views, Guacamaya Lodge is situated in Paraíso and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The location was perfect for us, close to the beach so easy to go down for a swim and just to sunbathe. I enjoyed being away from a large, busy area but close enough to a local shop that has everything you might need. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant was lovely with a good variety of food, even many vegan options (huge bonus!), a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the cocktails were VERY tasty. The grounds of the hotel were immaculate and added a wonderful feel to the stay. A big bonus was having the tennis court on-site, it was nice to play a little tennis after days of doing nothing but relaxing!
