The family-run Tornøes Hotel dates back almost 300 years. The traditionally decorated guest rooms include a work desk. Some rooms have a sofa and views of Kerteminde Bay. Awesome location. Staff lovely. Room had a beautiful view of the waterfront. Restaurant especially breakfast is superb.

Ærø's individually decorated rooms feature a work desk and free toiletries. Some include a spa bath,. The front desk staff were great, friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome - not just expected! It's an older building - which is charming - connected to a restaurant - also charming and serving delicious food - especially the breakfast! It has a few quirks.... but it added to the overall experience.

The breakfast was fantastic, a large selection of bread with a large selection of different cheeses, ham, paté, pickled herring to go with it. All very good. It also provided scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, which I did not have for breakfast. The dinner menu was fixed with a starter, a main dish and a desert. We had dinner, which was quite good.

Middelfart city centre is within 2.5 km from the hotel. Lillebælt Golf Club is 4 km away. All the staff were really polite and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The elevator to the second floor was super funny and cool experience. The lobby was very cozy for a hot chocolate in the evening.

It was great value for money, plus they have free ice cream.

Excellent breakfast. Very nice restaurant--we enjoyed the "Sunday Roast" dinner. Beautiful view from the dining room--reminded me of a Monet garden painting. Clean modern rooms-recently updated. Close to the Egeskov castle which is a must see. Also close to Sandholt Slot which is not open to the public, but can be viewed from the road.
