La Mirada del Solitario George is located in Puerto Ayora, just 4 minutes’ drive from Charles Darwin Station and next to Cazares School. Very clean and beautiful hostel with such sweet hosts. They spoke both English and Spanish and were very helpful about explaining things to so on the island. We ended up staying an extra night on Santa Cruz and they were able to let us keep the same room for an extra night. We were even upgraded to a better room for all nights. The kitchen was also very clean and tidy so it was a pleasure to make food there.

Wonderful place to stay and we were made to feel incredibly welcome by our great hosts who were really helpful with great information about the island and tours etc!! An easy 5 minute stroll on to the main street and an abundance of great choices to eat, drink and arrange tours. Room was spotlessly clean and the facilities and ambience were superb. How often do you get to stay in a castle on the Galapagos!? Highly recommended!!

This rustic style ecolodge is located 15 minutes’ walk from the La Estación Beach in Puerto Ayora and 200 meters from the main street. We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice during our visit to the Galapagos, and both stays were truly fantastic. The hotel struck the perfect balance in terms of facilities—just the right amount to make our stay comfortable without being over the top. Its location, just a short walk from the boulevard, made it incredibly convenient for evening strolls. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality of the hotel owner. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. One highlight was the tour he personally guided through the highlands, where we got to sample a variety of unique fruits we’d never tried before—such a memorable experience! He was also incredibly helpful in arranging tours and offering invaluable tips for exploring the islands. I can’t recommend this hotel enough—be sure to chat with the owner for insider advice on making the most of your Galapagos adventure!

We had a fantastic 10 day stay here. The hotel is so lovely, huge rooms with very comfortable beds. Jose, Lis, Marie and team made us feel so welcome and were so helpful with tour and taxi bookings. The location is perfect, so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, fresh juice, croissant, fruits and eggs. Would highly recommend this hotel!

They walk you to a small restaurant around the corner every morning for breakfast. Hotel is also close to wonderful Pan & Vino where you can get yummy breakfasts, sandwiches, drinks & desserts.

Super clean, great host, really good value and terrific colour schemes! We had a room with balcony which was worth paying a little extra for. Good location a few minutes walk from the front but quiet. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Would stay again if we ever return.
