We only planned to stay here one day but we loved the area and the hospitality here so much that we ended up staying 3 days total. Helping this family as they helped us with very good care and professional service. Dinner was amazing and my birthday happened to be here so they threw me a birthday party! And gave me great tours Ibrahim waited for us at every spot, and Mohamed took us to see a sunset with the Bedouins and carpet, pillows and tea were provided for a small fee. Hospitality and customer service exceded our expectations and prices are fair and hard to beat. I rather give my money to help this families than the big hotel chains and have more authentic food and experiences.

The west side is much more laidback and if you want to go to the other side, it is just a quick and nice boat ride away. The food is excellent, the people super nice, the pool is clean, the rooms are big and impeccable. We stayed 3 nights and will be back when we will visit Luxor again.

Firstly I was impressed by the decoration and design of the hotel, it is very authentic and pretty, a very good place to stay in the historical city Luxor. Secondly, the owner Sayed and his staff was so helpful and friendly, the owner is a gentle and humble man, I am biased towards him. Then the food was so nice, we had a dinner extra to the breakfast, so good. 好吃，中国人不骗中国人。 Lastly the location is fabulous, it’s so close to the main sites. We had a very pleasant time there, my family and friends love it so much.

Hotel El Mesala offers a panoramic view across the Nile, opposite the great obelisk of the Luxor Temple. It features a swimming pool with a deck and sun loungers. Great breakfast, great views, nice little pool. Super helpful staff without the hard sell for activities that you usually get in Egypt. Would love to comeback here with my kids and show them the wonders of Luxor. Highly recommend sunset sailing on a falucca
