Really great location next to the San Sabastian Cathedral. Staff were really helpful for check-in and check-out. The room was well furnished and very comfortable. the View was of the old post-office (heritage building). The restaurant downstairs is great to get a drink and have some olives. The restaurant staff were very friendly. 6-10 min walk from the train station, or a 10Euro taxi.

Hotel Torre Zumeltzegi is located in Old Town of Oñati, in the beautiful Basque countryside. This restored 13th-century property offers a garden and charming rooms with free Wi-Fi. Beautiful place. Stone ,wooden beams but ultra modern. Great views. Friendly helpful staff. I had an excellent t bone steak and nice wine for my evening meal. There was a good breakfast included in the price, a good selection of hams, bread , cheese , cereal . They will also make you scrambled eggs. Make sure to ask what’s included in the price for the evening meal . We assumed it was a la carte but actually there was a fixed price for a “cena “. We would have chosen differently if we’d known this.

It exceeded my expectations, given it's advertised as a 3-star hotel, felt more like a 5 star. The location is excellent, saw the most breathtaking sunrise there, over the sea.
