Spotlessly clean. Very modern. Breakfast excellent. Great selection, even cava for breakfast! Lovely swimming pool- all small and intimate but really so nice for a relaxing stay. We had to leave in the middle of night for flight to the airport but staff offered us a picnic breakfast to take away which we really appreciated. Would recommend without hesitation. Taverna de la Sal Boutique Hotel in L'Escala has been renovated and it is located in the old town. It provides adults-only accommodation with a terrace and a bar. This hotel is a gem, located off the main square of L'Escala where we had a view of the sea from our room. There is also a lovely roof terrace to enjoy. The room was restful and relaxed with a really comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Matthew and Mariona are excellent hosts; warm, welcoming and professional. The continental breakfast was to a high standard with a variety of healthy and delicious options on offer. In addition, there is a first rate restaurant in the hotel which offers a varied and interesting menu- not to be missed if in L'Escala! We hope to be back soon. Thank you Mariona and Matthew for looking after us so well.
