Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. Guests have access to the excellent Ylläs ski slopes and a variety of hiking trails through the peaceful Lappish wilderness. We are a mixed couple that traveled all the way from Turku, the cabin was very cozy and warm, close enough to the stores, gas station with a beautiful view towards the ski resort. The breakfast was exceptional!

Free WiFi is available in public areas and rooms. Wonderful staff, and a beautiful location. The sauna facilities were excellent, and the staff was willing to keep them hot for us as we had arrived at the time they were going to be turned off.

The village is centred on a large lake and is sometimes better known by the ski resort name, Ylläs. Staff was great and the guy at the receptionnwent out of his way to accomodate us.

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The apartment has a sauna and luggage storage space. Good location near to hiking, supermarket & restaurants. Very quiet. We did not hear any neighbors.

The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, and bike hire is available at this 3-star apartment. Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a ski equipment rental service, a private beach area and a ski pass sales point are also available on-site. It is a lovely place, clean, spacious, good location.

Located in Äkäslompolo in the Lapland region, Dasher Apartment features a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 38 km from Kolari Train Station. The Dasher Apartment is amazing and a perfect size for a family of 4 (we were 2 adults and 2 children). We loved the location. It was about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Akaslompolo. We had a car so did a mixture of both. The cabin is really well equipped and everything a family needs is provided - I would advise anyone with younger children to have a chat with Jane about what is available and it will save you packing half your house! The single beds were a good size and lots of spare pillows if you needed them. The cabin was lovely and warm. Communication with Jane (the owner) was excellent. We cooked in most evenings and found we had everything we needed. Coffee (and filters), seasoning, condiments, herbs and spices were all available to use. You can use the log burner (we didn't). There is plenty of storage space and the washing machine and cupboard dryer was a godsend! Loved the sauna. There are sleds in a box on the veranda at the back. You have access to the ski storage area near the car parking to store ski equipment. We loved it so much that we are planning our return visit in 2024.

Great breakfast and especially nice New Year's Eve dinner. Basic, but comfortable rooms. Well suited for our trip focusing on skiing and winter sports.

Lapland Hotel Ylläskaltio has a children's play room and a games room suitable for youngsters as well as family rooms with a loft that are perfect to book for families. All the comfortable guest rooms have private saunas and the in-house restaurant and lobby bar offer stunning views of the mountains. The gentlemen at the front desk were so nice helpful as we navigated the next part of our travels. They were also full of information about the area and transportation. Thanks to Jesse and Osmo! We loved the sauna in our room and the breakfast was amazing! Nice people there to! Loved the cross country ski culture
