The apartment is easy to find and easy to access, and the host lives close by and is responsive and helpful. The accommodation is very well appointed and comfortable. We look forward to returning and spending longer in this lovely city.

First of all, I had one of the best hosts possible. The appartment had a special vibe, it was clean, near the train station and I could walk to the city center. Coffee was provided. I received a booklet with clear information about the town and other booklet about attractions were in the hallway. The bed was reaaally comfy.

Nice quiet rural location close to Chatellerault. Was a very blissful sleep after the chaos of Paris in a noisy apartment.

The location was pretty good. We spent there good families moments for Christmas. We found enough near commercial area and activities (cine, ...). It is a good place to stay when we want to be closed to Poitiers.

We stayed here to attend a wedding in the Château de Basché. Sonia was a wonderful host and lives in the building just next to the gite; she made sure we had everything we needed, and had thought of the little touches. Sonia had even left us some local produce such as lemonades and shortbread, which was fabulous after a long journey. The gite was bigger than in the photos. Clean, spacious, and bright. It is also silent and peaceful - perfect for an excellent night's sleep. The pool is indoors and shared. We would highly recommend as a remote stay, and excellent value for money.

My family of four stayed at La Maison de la Liberte in October. The apartment is gorgeous and was perfect for our stay and adventures. It was very spacious, the beds were super comfortable and the location was perfect... just a few minutes walk to everything in central Poitiers. Charlotte, the host, was lovely and had a lot of maps, information and recommendations available for our visit. We visited Futuroscope as well, and it was a short 10-15 minute drive to get there. Staying in the center of town gave us a great taste of the city. I would highly recommend La Maison de la Liberte!

The kitchen was equipped well for simple meals. The sitting area was spacious and comfortable. The shower was modern and easy to use. The view from the windows was lovely. The apartment was conveniently located in the old center of town. We enjoyed walking to the historical sites, the markets and the cozy restaurants. The owner was helpful with answering our questions.

Tranquility in a beautiful area of France. Lovely rooms in an unusual, amazing property and a super hostess. Garden with various seating areas and use of pool. We stayed one night (have on two previous occasions too) as stop over on journey to southern France but would happily have stayed for longer.
