Freshly cooked breakfast was a real treat. A particularly kind young gentleman served us during our visit, didn’t get his name but he was lovely.

Just a short walk from the town centre as well as the castle it is the perfect location to stay whether you’re sightseeing, having a mini break or here for business, being in the heart of the residential part of town, The Windsor Trooper provides the best of everything Windsor has to offer. Really lovely, quirky spot. Honestly, I can't fault it. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed here for a family trip to see Windsor & visit legoland. The location was great. I would describe the pub as a busy spot, people always coming and going, a nice crowd, friends meeting up for a pint and a bite to eat. Really good vibe. Shuts down at 10 / 10.30, so once the crowd moves on, it's pretty quiet. The rooms are really quirky and clean. The bed was comfty. We all slept pretty well. We really enjoyed our stay here. Pizza van and coffee van were an added bonus, and right up the street is some great cafes / restaurants for breakfast or dinner. We had a hire car and found street parking easy. We were out and about most days, so by the time we got home, it was lovely to drop the bags and have a pint or a wander up the street. Really enjoyed it here.

The Berkshire Arms started life as a Farmhouse back in the 18th Century. The hotel offers comfy beds, free parking, meeting facilities and an on-site Chef & Brewer pub and restaurant. Each room has free WiFi, a flat-screen digital TV, a work desk, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing boards are available upon request. Rooms lovely breakfast great. We also ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening and the food and service was great.

Donnington Grove Hotel & Golf Club is set on the outskirts of Newbury, overlooked by the historic Donnington Castle. This beautifully renovated 18th-century Gothic house is set in 550 acres of grounds with its own championship golf course. The hotel was part of a golf complex set in absolutely beautiful surroundings, the staff were friendly and helpful and the dining exceptional. The cost of the hotel was very reasonable considering the location and hotel.

Cosy clean room with a lovely vibe to the hotel and amazing food. Will be back.

I found the team Goswell House Hotel incredibly kind and supportive. I had some travel issues and the team were incredibly helpful, and were a silver lining on a very difficult trip - thank you, Goswell House!
