It’s hard to describe why you leave some places feeling happy and warm at heart, (and not really wanting to leave at all) but I’ll give it a go. The Osprey is a one of a kind hotel in the heart of Scotland. We booked it on a whim on our way back to Edinburgh after a week in the Highlands, it had the perfect location since we didn’t want to drive for too long, great reviews and a room available for three. Already at check-in you feel that it’s something out of the ordinairy. The owners Des and Sinead are warm and kind people with a great sense of humour, happy to help with restaurant suggestions or things to do in the area (or a birthday song, if you’re lucky!). The hotel itself is beautiful inside out, from the floral wallpaper and wooden floor to the picturesque stone facade partly covered in plants, nothing is left to chance. There’s no fuss or haste at The Osprey and we left feeling relaxed, well rested and wanting to come back! If the above isn’t convincing enough, in addition: The room was the nicest we had during our week in Scotland, super comfortable beds and bedding, a nice view over the park outside and very tasteful interior. The breakfast had a broad range of tasty and filling choices. The town of Kingussie itself was very charming and well worth a visit. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.

Large, comfy room with exceptionally clean bathroom. Little fridge was great. All the little touches from water and snacks in the room to a FAN!! The fan was something I have never seen in our travels and greatly appreciate since I never sleep without one at home! Great stay!

The place was stacked with butter, sauces, cleaned utensils, Coffee Machine with beans loaded, corn flakes and oats etc. The washing machine and dryer was in mint condition to use. The host allowed us for a late checkout at 12 as we were travelling with kids. The view was amazing of the new SKYE bridge.

A very beautiful typical Scottish house. You have to experience it and not choose any hotel. In a quiet neighborhood in the center of old Inverness. With his own parking position I front of the house. . And now let's go to Mr. Sergio. Whatever you say about this great man will be little. He is lovable. Kind and willing to serve you at any time of the day. Willing to shop for you. Let him have what you like. We arrived at night at 11:00 pm hungry. Cook for us. All the drinks, delicacies and everything in the fridge were at our disposal. It also has equipment. Warm and waterproof jacket, boots and poles for walking and climbing. Everything was wonderful . Lovely accommodation with nice furnishings and lots of nice touches like some Scottish biscuits, homemade shortbread (delicious!) and some washing powder, coffee etc. Lots of useful information on restaurants, things to do etc. Lovely.
