In the heart of Edinburgh, a 5-minute walk from Waverley Rail Station, 28 York Place Hotel offers a lounge bar, free WiFi and bedrooms with views. Stayed here for a night and it was incredible! The view from my window was breathtaking, the room was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The charm of this old, elegant building added an extra touch of class to my stay. Highly recommend!

The room was extremely comfortable and there were extra blankets available in the room. There was a well-stocked honesty bar available, and the owner/manager was very helpful throughout our visit.

The Loch Ness Inn is located in the village of Lewiston, near the Great Glen Way. It offers rooms with free WiFi and free parking. Super friendly staff and the restaurant had a nice dinner and the breakfast was tasty too. Their logo is also great

This small, family-run metro hotel has easy access by bus to Edinburgh city centre, less than 2 miles away. It offers free on-street parking, free WiFi, en-suite rooms and a bar. We LOVE the host's hospitality! Kevin was an absolute gem! The place was the first stop on our honeymoon, and thanks to Kevin's hospitality, we felt it was the best start we could have ever had! We also loved how big the room and the bathroom were, and the lovely breakfast every morning! Simply blew our minds!

The new owners must have spent a fortune on the re-furb of this lovely period hotel. My room (the themed Whisky room) was large with a new, clean and well stocked en suite shower room. The shower was powerful. The bath towels were large. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows huge, and just the fight combination of soft and supportive. Breakfast selection was just right and delicious. The staff could not have been more engaging and efficient. The location is just out of the town centre so no traffic noise. I would definitely return.

A really lovely welcome when we arrived. The reception area was so welcoming and warm. Every member of staff was friendly and chatty. The breakfasts were delicious and we ate in the restaurant each evening of our stay and really enjoyed all the meals

Peter and Shaley are lovely and gave us some good tips around the area and what to do on our way to Aberdeen. Breakfast was nice , tea and coffee in room and in dining room also.

It’s hard to describe why you leave some places feeling happy and warm at heart, (and not really wanting to leave at all) but I’ll give it a go. The Osprey is a one of a kind hotel in the heart of Scotland. We booked it on a whim on our way back to Edinburgh after a week in the Highlands, it had the perfect location since we didn’t want to drive for too long, great reviews and a room available for three. Already at check-in you feel that it’s something out of the ordinairy. The owners Des and Sinead are warm and kind people with a great sense of humour, happy to help with restaurant suggestions or things to do in the area (or a birthday song, if you’re lucky!). The hotel itself is beautiful inside out, from the floral wallpaper and wooden floor to the picturesque stone facade partly covered in plants, nothing is left to chance. There’s no fuss or haste at The Osprey and we left feeling relaxed, well rested and wanting to come back! If the above isn’t convincing enough, in addition: The room was the nicest we had during our week in Scotland, super comfortable beds and bedding, a nice view over the park outside and very tasteful interior. The breakfast had a broad range of tasty and filling choices. The town of Kingussie itself was very charming and well worth a visit. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.
