In this specific case Selina was our safe space as we booked it last moment after having some issues with our initial accommodation on the lake. From the very beginning Selina staff was attentive, understanding - allowed us to do an early check in, provided us with a quiet room. This Selina has everything you need - it’s dog friendly, has great bfast options (we had breakfast included), also lunch / dinner / drinks, beautiful surroundings, great coworking, stable internet connection, lots of sitting areas, swimming pool, games, books, cinema, events. We enjoyed quietness of our room as it wasn’t close to the main area 🙏🏼 as the result we prolonged our stay for one more week and were kindly offered the same room and even an option of upgrade for the same cost which we didn’t accept as we wanted to stay at the same space. Amazing place with incredible view! Staff is really helpful and accommodating! They were super flexible and moved my booking when I had issues with my flight. Beds are really great, really high quality mattresses and bedsheets. I loved the attention to details in a room, and waking up with a beautiful view is definitely a plus. Service is really high quality as well! The area is really lush and has variety of birds.

Everything! The staff were amazing, especially a shout out to Andrea and Mary who did everything possible to help our stay be comfortable. The gym is next door and free to use as a hotel guest - it’s great! Loads of equipment and opens from 7am. The room we took had two beds, would recommend this for two people as you get lots of space. There is water, tea and coffee available in the restaurant for hotel guests which was a lovely touch. Breakfast is SO good. Huge portions and you take eat on their lovely terrace with lake and volcano views. It’s also a great place to relax in the evening when it is cooler. I left a dress from my washing and the hotel arranged it to come on a boat to pana which was over and above on service.

The reception is in a peaceful courtyard off the middle of town, and rooms had everything needed. Easy to book things.

Located right on the shore of Lake Atitlan in San Pedro La Laguna, Mikaso Hotel features a terrace overlooking the lake with a billiard, bistro tables and sunbathing chairs. I came in 2023 and knew that if I ever came back to San Pedro that I would stay at Mikaso and so I did. The hotel is just outside the busy street but not far enough that you’re isolated. It’s got amazing lake views and the manager Daniel and his staff are very kind. The cats are a great bonus too! You can rent kayaks for a very good price or enjoy the beautiful terrace. The grounds are well kept and there are colorful plants and flowers everywhere on the property. Shower is hot with great pressure. Looking forward to my next stay here next time i’m in town :)
