Absolutely stunning authentic experience set in luxurious design and stylish interiors. Exceptional welcome, the owners enjoying the surf everyday and inviting us to join made it all feel so wholesome and heartfelt. This place is more than a hotel, it’s someone’s love letter to the island of Sumba and the passion project is infectious. Didn’t want to leave this serene and magical place: thanks for having us !

Located along the private Purukambera Beach, Cemara Beachfront Suite offers free parking facilities and rooms with ocean views. The place is just amazing if you wanna get away from the crowd and relax in heaven. They treat you like royalty and make sure you feel home from the first moment. The restaurant is sublime, the beach is on your doorstep and the staff are professionals and yet super sweet and caring. We rented a scooter from them and explored the savanna, waterfalls and traditional villages. On booking breakfast is mentioned to be 13 euro but in reality it is much cheaper. Food is super delicious and very affordable. I hope they start giving cooking classes in future.

A very enjoyable stay at Rua Beach Resort Sumba. The hotel is located right by the beach, with a pool and a restaurant, making it perfect for relaxation. The price is absolutely fair for the quality of services provided. Contrary to previous comments, we didn’t miss having constant internet access or Netflix – this place is designed to disconnect from everyday life, not to spend time in front of screens. The resort is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful nearby beaches. If someone is looking for luxury at $2000 per night, they should look elsewhere. Rua Beach Resort is a place worth recommending, full of peace, nature, and a unique atmosphere that’s hard to find in crowded resorts. We wholeheartedly recommend it!
