This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Loved the place very scenic. The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. The Staff managed to put away food for us on the side this way when we got to the hotel we had all the meals ready. Thank you hotel Laxa for the great hospitality and good stay!

Skútustaðagígar natural site is 2 minutes’ walk away. +Fantastic, beautiful and lovely place very close to the lake myvatn and Skútustadagrig pseudo craters are next to it. +myvatn nature baths is very close to this place. + had lots of facilities like hot spa baths, games(billiards, darts) + Breakfast buffet was amazing and fantastic . This is probably one of the best Breakfast I had during my visit to Iceland. It almost had every types of food. +perfect place to see the Northern lights if it comes. While checking in , the receptionist asked us if we want a wake up call to our room if the Northern lights occur during the middle of the night. This was a fantastic option. +Petrol/diesel station is right next to this place. Very very useful to fuel up our cars for the next day's long trip. +toilets and bathroom are very clean.
